BETWEEN JFK AND NEWARK

Two airports, one car, no transfers.

Changing airports in New York usually happens because of a missed connection, a split ticket, or an itinerary that only worked that way. We pick you up at your arrival terminal at one airport and take you to the departure terminal at the other. Both flights are on the booking, so if the first one runs late we know before you do.

  • Both flights tracked on one booking
  • Met inside at baggage claim
  • Tolls in the quote, both directions

BY CAR

JFK to Newark Airport by car

The two airports are on opposite sides of the harbor, about 30 miles apart by road. Most of the time we cross Brooklyn, go over the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and Staten Island, and take the Goethals Bridge into New Jersey. If that way is backed up, the other option runs through Lower Manhattan and the Holland Tunnel. A Friday afternoon in summer and a Tuesday morning in February are different trips, so we plan for the one you are taking.

BY TRAIN

Why not take the train?

There is no direct rail link. Going by train means the AirTrain to Jamaica, the LIRR into Penn Station, New Jersey Transit out to the Newark Airport station, and the AirTrain again to your terminal. It can be done, but with checked bags, children, or a tight connection it is a lot of stairs and platforms. In a car the bags go in once at JFK and come out at the curb at Newark.

THE OTHER WAY

Newark to JFK

Going the other way works the same. We meet you at Terminal A, B, or C at Newark and drive you to your JFK terminal, confirming your airline on the day of travel. The tolls differ by direction, since the Goethals and the Holland only charge drivers heading into New York, and the quote you approve already includes them. One Sprinter takes up to 14 passengers with their checked bags.
