Baki Tour (“we,” “us”) provides premium transportation in the NYC area. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website and book a ride, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account or book a ride with Baki Tour, we collect:
- Account information: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google provides your name, email address, and basic profile information (such as your profile picture) to create and access your account. We receive this from Google in accordance with your Google account settings and Google’s privacy policy; we do not receive your Google password.
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number
- Trip details: pickup and drop-off locations, date and time preferences
- Payment information: card details, processed securely by Stripe (we never store full card numbers)
- Device information: IP address and browser/device type, used for security and fraud prevention
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and authenticate your account, including passwordless email codes and Google sign-in
- Process and fulfill your transportation bookings
- Communicate with you about your reservations
- Process payments securely and send confirmations and receipts
- Maintain the security of our services
- Improve our services
- With your consent, send promotional offers
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal information to external organizations for marketing or unrelated purposes. We do not transfer consumer data to any external organizations except as strictly necessary to provide the requested service or as required by law. We never transfer consumer data for marketing or unrelated purposes, even with user consent. We share it only when it is strictly necessary to provide our service, with:
- Service providers: companies that help us run your booking, such as payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, text messaging (Twilio and Grasshopper), and maps and address lookup (Google Maps)
- Chauffeurs: only the limited details needed for your trip
- Legal requirements: when required by law
We only work with vetted service providers, and they are bound by contractual restrictions that allow them to use your information solely to provide their service to us. Any disclosure is protected by access controls and security safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized sharing (see Data Security below). Analytics and advertising cookies are explained separately in Cookies & Your Choices, and you can switch them off at any time.
California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You can exercise this right anytime via Cookie Preferences below, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honor automatically.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate measures to protect your personal information, including:
- SSL encryption for all data transmission
- PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe
- Secure storage with access controls
- Access to customer information limited to the team members who need it to run your bookings
- Two-factor sign-in required for all admin accounts, with admin actions logged

6. Cookies & Your Choices
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working, including your session, security, secure checkout (Stripe), and maps. These are always on.
We also use Analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and Advertising & Sharing (Google Ads) cookies to understand site usage and measure our advertising. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages, such as clicks, taps and scrolling, to help us improve the site. Text you type into forms, and the details on booking, checkout and account pages, are hidden from these recordings. You can opt out at any time through our cookie banner, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our website.
9. Mobile Messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we send transactional and conversational text messages related to your bookings: booking confirmations, trip reminders, chauffeur details (assignment, on-the-way and arrival updates), and replies to questions you send us by text. Sign-in verification codes are sent separately through our verification provider. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, typically 3 to 5 messages per trip. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We do not share your mobile opt-in information or SMS consent with any third parties, and we never sell or share your phone number for third-party marketing. Your number is used only to deliver messages and service related to your booking; it is shared solely with our SMS providers (Twilio and Grasshopper) to send those messages and, where relevant, with your assigned chauffeur to complete your trip.
